Still a landing place

On the other side of Butterworth lays the island of Penang, so called culinary hotspot of Malaysia. Butterworth was established as a landing place for Georgetown, the capital of Penang and the second most populated city of the country. It is now a city on it’s own and a transport hub. Train – bus – boat all bring you here – getting away is more difficult. It is still a landing place.

Places where people didn’t intend to stay the amount of time they did or do are seldom beautiful, but make the utter most beautiful combinations.
